Tenya Iida is two years into his pro career as the second Ingenium...but he’s still in his elder brother’s shadow. He loves Tensei too much to even think of carving his own path. He’s happy with the way things are. He’s glad he can protect his brother’s legacy. Why does anything need to change? After a particularly exciting patrol (and small-time villain attack), Tenya meets his very first super fan, and the world turns on its head. Can this fanboy help Tenya see his own worth?

Tenya is a problem solver; it's just in his nature. When he finds that his class could use some help in learning how to work together, he proposes a class activity of a three-legged race to remedy the problem. One thing he didn't foresee, however, was being paired up with Kaminari. How will Tenya's serious disposition fare against Kaminari's flippant attitude?

Iida Tenya’s engine quirk is fueled by orange juice. He drinks it every day, and its taste is ever present in his life.

A collection of scenes outlining Iida’s daily life. His past, his hopes, his struggles, and most importantly, the strength he draws from those dear to him.

In the Hero Course, teamwork is essential. Being able to collaborate with his fellow students is something that Iida Tenya considers himself excellent at. But will that remain true outside of the training grounds? Iida is going to find out when he and chronically independent and prickly Bakugou Katsuki are tasked with cooking dinner for their classmates.

Tenya still has the scars from the fight with Stain, but life carries on. Until he can prove himself a worthy hero, he will carry the those scars. But physical therapy exercises and talking with friends can only do so much. Some days, he needs a little self care. Some days he needs to run.

Going shopping with Tensei is something Tenya's done many times before, but not recently - not since Tensei came home from the hospital after his encounter with Stain. Tenya knows he shouldn't avoid spending time with his brother, but he can't help being nervous. How different is it going to be now? How much really has changed since the attack?

Iida is the best character of BNHA, a solid friend and leader, and I feel he gets undercut by the other, more colorful personalities

Tenya is an incredibly adaptable character who always looks to improve himself and is remarkably thoughtful, especially when it comes to taking care of others. His intelligence, care, and motivation inspire his classmates (and me). He’s a great guy who shows great growth, and I also absolutely love the interactions we see between him and his family. I know Tenya is going to be a wonderful hero who does his family and friends proud, and I’m excited to help him get the attention he deserves.

Experience: I’m a copyeditor by trade and worked on the BNHA Soulmates Zine: My Love, My Life as the Head Beta. Besides knowing my way around grammar and punctuation, I understand how important content feedback is and try to provide as much of it as I can. I love seeing the amazing pieces that zines create.

Iida has this kind of steady nobility that really intrigues me. Even when faced with villains or his own faults, his compass continually spins back around to point towards heroism. I find that highly inspiring!
